Dear Mackenzie bio picture

Welcome to Dear Mackenzie!

This blog is dedicated to my beautiful Grand Daughter, Mackenzie Ann!
So that one day, she can look back on this and read and know how much her Nonna loved her.

Mackenzie, even before you were a sparkle in your mommy and daddy's eyes, I loved you.
And when I heard the news that your mommy was pregnant with you, I can't even begin to describe the excitement I had, the love that I felt, there are no words.

I dreamt of you and you came true.  I love you with all my heart and being.

Always remember, You are My Sunshine!

Love Nonna

Dear Mackenzie

There are many days I sit and just think of you.

I go through pictures your Mommy has sent me and just smile and laugh.  You’ve grown so much and way too fast.
You’re learning so much and getting smarter all the time.  Just amazes me.

I love to webcam with you! It’s so much fun to see what you’re doing, what you’ve learned.  You sing to me.
Told me you loved me Monday April 6th all by yourself.  You just blurted it out.  Made my heart smile.

Mommy sent me a picture the other day, I fell in love with it! You two look so happy!

Soon you will be 2.  Just 2 months to go.  Seems like yesterday your Mommy and me were hanging out in Fayetteville waiting for you to arrive.
I can’t wait to see you for your birthday.  It’s going to be so much fun.  Can you ask Mommy for a chocholate cake? ;)

I love you Mackenzie.  I miss you more than words can ever express.
Always remember, you are my sunshine!

Dear Mackenzie

It’s your first snow day! I was there! Mommy dressed you up warm, and cute too I might add and took you out to play in the snow!

Mackenzie

You are so adorable!!

God bless you sweet! And remember, you are my Sunshine! Always :)

I love you!

Dear Mackenzie,

It’s been a long time since I’ve blogged on our blog!  Wow, over a year?
Poppa and I have been pretty busy, he got  a new job in Oct and we moved to GA.
It’s cold up here now and sometimes we even get snow.
I’ve been to see you a few times.

Poppa and I came to see you for Christmas! We had so much fun with you.
We even traveled to your Aunt Annes & Uncle James’ house in Greeville, MS.
You had lots of family there, we had so much fun and played Dirty Santa, which was a blast!

It’s Feb 2010, I have been home for a couple of weeks from visiting with you. I always love waking up in the morning
to your smiling face! You always make me laugh with the silly things you love to do!
You even potty on the potty now, for at least 2 months, such a big girl. I didn’t get your Mommy potty trained until she was 2!
I’m so proud of you, you’re growing up so fast though, please slow down!
You’re such a smart kiddo, you amaze me all the time. I love the stories your Mommy tells me too.  It amazes me of how smart you are,
but then again, you have very smart parents so you probably get that from them :)

I love you sweety and miss you terribly!  I will see you soon.

And remember, you are my sunshine, always!
I love you!

Dear Mackenzie…today is

My birthday.  Your due date.  But, you didn’t arrive on your due date.  You arrived on your Mommy’s birthday, the day after my birthday.

That day was one of the best days of my entire life.  You see, I dreamt of you long ago.  Long before Mommy called me to tell me she was pregnant with you.  That day was the most exciting day of my life.  Because that day, my dream came true. You.

On June 18, 2008, we…your Mommy and Daddy and me, made our way to the hospital where you were to be delivered.  I took pictures and video of this day.  Drove your Mommy crazy I’m sure, but there was no way I wasn’t going to capture as much of this special event as I could.

That evening the really nice nurses set Mommy up to be induced.  They didn’t even get started good and you decided, you would come on YOUR time, good girl!  I had already left the hospital to go back to Mommy’s apartment and was barely there when I got the call; Mommy’s water broke, so back to the hospital I went.  We waited all night, Daddy slept on the floor, Mommy in the bed and me on the couch.

The next day was hopping! People, your special people from all around, came to wait on this special little one that was to arrive that day.  We filled the entire waiting room with the folks that didn’t want to miss this event.  Nan & Pops was there, Aunt Erin, Me, Uncle Trey, WeePaw and Red, Aunt Ashlea, Aunt Jami, Uncle Scott, some of Mommy’s best friends were there, Mary, Kelli, Brandon and Beau, your cousin Ethan was even there! So many were waiting on you.  You have a lot of special people in your life and as you grow you will see just how special each of them is.

The time came, they said Mommy was ready. Your Daddy and I got to stay in the room while the fabulous Dr Seal delivered you.  Mommy was a trooper and did what she was told.  I remember asking Dr Seal, “As soon as she is born, I can start taking pictures, right?” She said yes! and I DID!

Let me say, it was the most amazing day ….wait, I’ve already said that! :)

Mackenzie Ann Parker, just know, that I dreamt of you and you came true.  You have changed my world beyond belief.  I never knew I could love someone so much that I just met.  You will always be special to me! You were due on my birthday, but you came on your Mommy’s birthday.  You came when you were ready.  Know always Mackenzie, you are my sunshine, always.

I love you!

Welcome to Dear Mackenzie!

Because someone or something ate my last blog, here I am, starting all over again.

Couldn’t even find the back-ups! How do you like that?

Lost everything!  But that’s ok! I will rebuild it :)

Dear Mackenzie,

I hope you’re feeling better today sweety.
Just got off the phone with Mommy, she said you seemed to have a good day.

I just wanted to let you know I love you and miss you so!
I will see you soon.

Take care of Mommy & Daddy.

Always remember, You are My Sunshine!

Dear Mackenzie,

Well, you, Mommy and Daddy are on your way home from the hospital.
I’m so glad. Mommy says you have a Upper Respiratory Infection and ear infection.
So sorry sweety! I know that’s no fun. I’m sure the medicines they gave you will help a lot and get you better quickly.

I told Mommy if she wanted me to come stay with you during the day while her and Daddy went to work, I’d be happy to.

I love you sweety! Get well soon, take care of Mommy & Daddy.

Always remember, You are My Sunshine!

Love Nonna

Dear Mackenzie,

Mommy called me this morning to tell me they had to take you to the AR Childrens Hospital at 6 a.m.

You’ve had this congestion/cold for so long.
The Dr’s told Mommy at the check up visits you were fine. But apparently not.
You were running a fever. Mommy and Daddy are so worried about you. So am I. I love you sweety and want you to get better.

I know Mommy & Daddy will take good care of you. But if you ever need me to come and stay with you, I will.

I can picture your beautiful smiling face right now. Your eyes sparkle so bright when you smile. It makes me smile and Thank God above for such a wonderful gift He has given me.

I love you so much and just wanted you to know, I’m always thinking of you. Get well soon and take care of Mommy & Daddy too.

Always remember, You are My Sunshine!

Love Nonna
